Industrial Heritage Rhine-Main

Bad Nauheim is part of the “Route of Industrial Heritage Rhine-Main”, a cultural project which unites the most important industrial monuments of the region.

The old steam laundry behind the train station, the Max-Planck-Institute for Heart and Lung Research or the five well preserved graduation buildings are a few of the more than 21 locations in Bad Nauheim which stand testimony and explain the industrial development on site. For this reason, Bad Nauheim was admitted to join  the “Route of Industrial Heritage Rhine-Main” in 2010. The industrial route focuses on living testimonies of the production industry including their corresponding infrastructure, raises social awareness and makes them accessible to the public. Industrial heritage as part of the distinct cultural and recreational opportunities supports the regions identity.

The Route of Industrial Heritage Rhine-Main is part of the EU-project “Sustainable and Accessible Urban Landscapes” and is sponsored by the “KulturRegion Frankfurt Rhein Main GmbH“.
