Réseau Art Nouveau Network

In 2004, Bad Nauheim was the first German city to become a member of the EU-sponsored "Réseau art nouveau Network", an association of 19 European cities with a rich heritage of art nouveau architecture. Membership requires that this be preserved, researched, and promoted in close cooperation.

Since 2007, the spa town has been a member of the "European Art Nouveau Route". Some projects conducted by the association include a symposium on the "100 years of art nouveau" anniversary in 2006, and the coordination of the plenary session of the network in 2008. Publications raise awareness for the significant art nouveau heritage. In 2007, the association won the honorary award for the preservation of historical monuments thanks to its exemplary commitment to heritage conservation.

The art nouveau club "Jugendstilverein Bad Nauheim e.V." is also actively involved in the European "Réseau Art Nouveau Network".
